The baby in our family, collin, got married this morning in the salt lake temple. it was so beautiful and the whole day was just perfect. the reception was catered by leatherby's...what's not absolutely perfect about that, right? we love carrie so much and are so so so happy that she's an official olson now. congrats you guys!!

if you've ever been to "small-town" u.s.a., then you can picture the little place my brother and his family live. population...250 according to the town sign. i absolutely adore this town!!! we went up for a family reunion (my 6 brothers and 1 sister and ALL of the spouses and kids) and were all together for the first time in 7years. it was awesome! this little town puts on a 24th of july like no other. there's an early morning 5k race (yes...i ran it...), parade, program, potluck lunch and a big family dance at the end of the night. seriously, words can't describe how much fun we had as a family. rah rah rahrahrah...rah rah rahrahrah...rah rah rahrahrah...GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Olsons!!!

annies best day of her life (again...)

it was last july that annie had the "best day of her life" meeting david archuleta in salt lake city as the idols toured here. well, she had another "best day of her life" last saturday in las vegas!!!
should i just let the pictures speak for themselves? the trip to vegas was absolutely perfect (even the 117 degree weather!). we got into the v.i.p pre-party and got to spend about 45 minutes listening to david archuleta just talk and he even got to sing a few songs (annie was on the floor in front of the piano maybe 3 feet away from him!!!) but they didn't allow any pictures except for the ones they took. the concert was amazing...don't tell steve but we're already excited to go to his next concert! (what....6 concerts aren't NEARLY enough....!)

spending Sunday night with my Grandad

Tonight we had Grandad and Uncle Danny over for Family Home Evening. It was really nice and super spiritual. We had a lesson on the power of music and the kids all performed a song or two. We were prepared because of the program for Burlington. Grandad loved it and he even said that "Tender Mercies" made his heart go into his throat. He gave each of the kids a memento (sp?) from Grandmother--Megan loves her clip on earrings--and then we had fun just chatting and eating ice cream. I love my Grandad!!!

one week and counting.....

annie and i are sitting here on the bed realizing that that in ONE WEEK we'll be on the road with linz to go and see david archuleta in concert in VEGAS!!! it'll be our 5th concert and we're super excited. annie turns 12 next week and this is what she chose for her birthday present. do i mind? uh, NO!!!

how'd we spend the 4th?!?

catchin' up BIG TIME!!!

The Larsen boys show what they've been doing this June. Alex is LOVING football so far. Taylor could swing alllllllllllllll day long! Steve is such a good daddy and lets Taylor help him mow (even though it takes SO much longer that way....)


After an absolutely beautiful funeral for my grandmother, we came back to our house and had ice cream with the family. I love them so much and love to spend time with them. How cute is Josie in Carrie's pink high heels?!?


Steve and I went to St. George to Tuacahn to see FOOTLOOSE and absolutely loved it! I am going back with the girls in the family in August!!!<
