Sun...Fun... and San Juan Capistrano

This past week at Capistrano Beach could not have been more fun. We gave it an "A+++"! The kids were so good at home and so sweet to eachother. We've been looking forward to it for quite a while and it lived up to every expectation we had. We're planning it again next year. (We even squeezed a trip to Disneyland in on our 9 day vacation!!!)
Couldn't love my husband more!!!
Relaxing!!!
Countless games of Scrabble
Out on the balcony looking at the Pacific Ocean
Asked a random lady on the beach to take our picture

just my boys

I'm not going to try and write anything cute, poetic or profound...just a small reminder to myself that these are the 4 most important boys in my life. Oh, and how CUTE does Taylor looked dressed up with a striped yellow tie like his dad?!? Did you notice the BYU tie tack?

On your mark...Get set...GO!!!

When they announced it was Pinewood Derby time, Zach couldn't have been more excited. He and Steve spent hours getting his car ready. He won 3rd place overall (out of 14!!!) and was really happy about that. I'll bet the leaders are glad it's over---quite the production---but the boys had a great night!

Ready to race!!!

Thoughtful leaders made sure each boy got a certificate. Zach's was "best paint job."

Zach's is on the far right.

Tay was in heaven watching all of those cars go down the track.

Zach was so happy to have Gramps there!

"Hop"py Easter (it's always a funny joke...)

Easter this year was nice. Alex and Zachary each bore their testimony in Sacrament Meeting. They are such good boys! We had a delicious ham dinner and a wonderful nap afterwards. Sometimes just staying home as a family is the best thing to do!

Coloring Eggs

That Easter Bunny was so sneaky---the baskets were filled by about 9:00 p.m.!

Everyone loves their new underwear. What a great tradition!

IRON WHEELS A ROLLIN'...

The 4th graders at Falcon Ridge put on their annual "Utah---this is the place" program this past week. Those kids had some LUNGS...they absolutely loved singing just as loud as they possibly could. It was so well prepared and every single student knew their part. There weren't any technical difficulties with the microphone either. It was probably the best rendition of this program that I have seen. Way to go Junior Falcons!!!
"Utah....THIS IS THE PLACE!"

"I say, old chap, I couldn't stand those American trappers. They talked some of the men in my group into working for them and they accused me of trapping on THEIR land. Once I dared a chief to shoot me. He thought I was so brave he had me marry his daughter. Many places were named after me, including Utah's second largest city. Do you know who I am? If you guessed Peter Skene Ogden then you are absolutely right!"

NaTiOnAlS!!!

Megan was able to go to Anaheim over the weekend to cheer at Nationals. This is what the team has been working towards all year. The girls did fantastic and were happy with the results. This is only the 2nd time Megan has been away from family and she got quite a bit homesick (she's just like her mama...) but we were happy that she was able to have so much fun with her friends. Go GRIZZ!!!
