what a fun day...

we love byu football--couldn't guess that could you? we had such a fun time down in provo today. we got to drive down with my brothers nick and phillip, got to visit with steve's parents and to top it off...BYU WON!!! taylor got an A+ for the day, but lugging the extra 22 pounds around got a little old after a while. what a fun day!

my poor baby taylor...

this poor kid has had a rough 1st 8 months! between rsv, tubes in his ears and this new surgery--DANGIT! he got ahold of a dangling earring and swallowed it last night. it was lodged in his esophogus (sp?) and had somthing called an " emergency esophogectologmy" or something like that last night (does 1 a.m. still count as night?) up at primary childrens hospital. he needed an i.v. (which they had to put in his head!) and a breathing tube and they went in with a telescope thing to pull the earring out. crazy! what did the pioneers do if their baby swallowed something?!? anyway, taylor is so forgiving and been back to his sweet little self today. what a crazy, crazy night!!!

let's get the school year started!

Here we go.....today is the first full day of school for all of the kids. Alex starts 9th grade (and SEMINARY!!), Megan is in 7th grade, Annie is in 6th grade (and has Gramps for her teacher) and Zach will be in 1st grade. Me and Taylor have to learn to be by ourselves again during the day. We will miss our big helpers but are excited for the kids!!

Megan's big debut at school!!!

Megan starts 7th grade today. The 7th grade students have an orientation day today (just a half day of school) to figure out where their classes are and to get the hang of the whole locker thing. Lindsey straightened Megan's hair for the big day today--Megan looks like such a little lady! We'll definitely miss her around the house today but she couldn't BE more excited!!!

A Fun Saturday at the Bean Museum

We had our annual Olson summer party today at Kiwanis Park in Provo. The food was delicious and there's nothing more fun than spending time with my family. After that, we had a special showing of the reptile exhibit at the Bean Museum. The kids loved petting the animals (me...not so much) then we went to the BYU Bookstore to get our "Quest for Perfection" t-shirts for the games this year. SO EXCITED!!! What a great day!

happy birthday to me-hee-hee!!!!!

So I turned 35 today and it turned out to be a great day. I woke up to beautiful flowers, a tasty diet coke and a delicious chocolate mint cake from Steve. My big present? 2 History of Civ textbooks and enrollment in Independent Study. HERE WE GO!!! I went to Sampan Chinese for lunch with my aerobics friends (how cute are they?!?) and their presents were so thoughtful. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes!!!

i guess it's our turn to enter into cyberworld and try our hand at the whole blogging thing. it may take a bit of trial and error (i've already been at it forever this afternoon) but let's give it a try!
